These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (https://choux-and-c.com) and the purchase of products from Choux & C, a French artisan bakery based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these terms in full.
1. About Us
Choux & C is an artisan bakery registered and operating in Calgary, Alberta. We sell freshly made and frozen baked goods including choux, viennoiseries, pâtisseries, and frozen à cuire products directly to consumers via our website and in-store.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. If you are purchasing on behalf of another person or business, you confirm you have authority to do so.
3. Online Orders & Internet Purchases
Under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act, the following rights apply to online purchases over $50:
You may cancel an internet purchase within 7 days if we fail to properly disclose the total amount owed, or if goods are not delivered within 30 days of the stated delivery date.
We will provide a full disclosure of all costs (product price, taxes, and any applicable delivery fees) before you confirm your order.
A confirmation email will be sent to you upon receipt of your order.
4. Products & Availability
All products are handcrafted in small batches. We reserve the right to:
Substitute unavailable flavours with a similar product of equal or greater value.
Cancel or modify orders if ingredients are unavailable, in which case we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Update our product range, prices, or descriptions at any time without prior notice.
Refrigerated and frozen products require appropriate handling by the customer upon receipt. Choux & C is not responsible for product deterioration resulting from improper customer storage after delivery or pickup.
5. Pricing & Taxes
All prices displayed on our website are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes (GST at 5%) will be added at checkout. Prices may be updated without notice.
6. Allergens & Dietary Information
Our products are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens including gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy. While we take care to label products accurately, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of any allergen. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering at choux.and.c@gmail.com.
7. Unfair Practices
In accordance with Alberta's Consumer Protection Act, we commit to fair dealing. We will not:
Misrepresent the quality, composition, or price of any product.
